Our History

In 2005, George Bennett had a simple goal: create a moving service that treated people’s belongings with the same care as if they were their own. Starting with one truck, a handful of dedicated helpers, and a rented storage unit, Lone Star Moving CO began serving a small community with local moving jobs. There was no grand launch, no big office, just a focus on showing up on time and doing the job right.

Key Milestones

2005–2010: Packing, unpacking, and basic storage options were introduced. A clear checklist for item handling was implemented to reduce damage. Customer referrals became the main source of growth.
2010–2015: Staff expanded. Scheduling tools and route optimization software were introduced. Operations remained lean with a focus on consistent quality, not rapid expansion.
2017: Lone Star Moving CO became licensed for interstate moves. New equipment allowed transportation of pianos, pool tables, and fragile items. Basic insurance coverage became standard.
2020: Adapted to the pandemic: contactless estimates, PPE, and no-contact delivery options. Retained core team with no layoffs.
2022: Vehicle fleet was updated. CRM and GPS tracking were implemented. A dispatcher role was added to oversee timelines and minimize delays.
2024: Lone Star Moving CO now offers local, commercial, and long-distance moving. Services include: Packing and unpacking, Secure storage, Insurance for all items, Full-service residential and business moves, Customized rates based on move type and timing.
